前幾天進行的總理記者會，相信大家應該已經發現了，擔任現場交傳的又是外交部首席女翻譯張璐！
記者會上，國務院總理李克強在回答記者提問時說了這樣一句話：“搭多深的基，才能蓋多高的樓”，被張璐干練地譯為“The height of the building depends on the depth of the foundation.”
她優雅從容、才思敏捷，被翻譯同行膜拜，號稱“翻譯一姐”，是無數翻譯學習的榜樣。自2010年開始，她11次現場翻譯總理答記者問（2013年未上總理答記者問，翻譯了外長答記者問），被譽為“御用翻譯”。今天就來回顧一下2010-2020年張璐的精彩翻譯。

2020年

過去我們說不搞“大水漫灌”，現在還是這樣，但是特殊時期要有特殊政策，我們叫作“放水養魚”。
張璐譯文：We have repeatedly said that we will not flood China’s economy with liquidity. We didn’t do it in the past; we will not do it now. But the current unusual time requires extraordinary measures. Just as water is important to fish farming.
沒有足夠的水，魚是活不了的。但是如果泛濫了，就會形成泡沫，就會有人從中套利，魚也養不成，還會有人渾水摸魚。所以我們采取的措施要有針對性，也就是說要摸準脈、下準藥。錢從哪里來、用到哪里去，都要走新路。
張璐譯文：Sufficient liquidity is important to economic development. But too much water will induce froth in the fishpond, whereby some people may attempt to muddy the waters and fish for arbitrage. We must ensure that measures taken are well-focused, the prescription is precise and the medicines for getting out of the hardship effective. New approaches must be employed as to where the money comes from and how it is spent.
錢是可以生錢的。
張璐譯文：Money well-spent can create new money.
這是一次前所未有的沖擊，我們不可能輕車走熟路，只能是大車行難路。所以我們在政策上要注重創新。
張璐譯文：In coping with the current round of unprecedented shocks, we don’t have ready experience to draw from. It’s not something we can manage with ease, and we will have to blaze a trail with hard efforts.
這有利于復工復產，可以說是近水樓臺先得月。
張璐譯文：We believe this will benefit the resumption of economic activities, and our geographical proximity has put us in a good position to benefit from this earlier.
實干為要，行勝于言。
張璐譯文：Actions count, and actions always speak louder than words.
2019年
這位記者朋友喜歡單刀直入，那我也開誠布公。
張璐譯文：You went straight to the point in your question and I will not beat about the bush.
大規模減稅降費，是要動政府的存量利益，要割自己的肉。所以我說這是一項刀刃向內、壯士斷腕的改革。
張璐譯文：Digging into the government’s own revenue stock for slashing taxes and fees would be like the government turning the blade of a knife to itself, which requires significant self-sacrifice. That is why I said this is a key reform that requires exceptional courage and determination.
我們這樣做，不是在預支未來，恰恰是在培育未來。
張璐譯文：Such measures are not taking an overdraft on our future, but nurturing a better tomorrow.
寬進就要嚴管。公平的準入，公正的監管，這是鳥之兩翼，不可偏廢。
張璐譯文：With lower market thresholds, there must be tightened oversight. There should be fair access to market and impartial regulation.
我們中華民族幾千年生生不息，這40年來有如此巨大變化，教育的確起了巨大支撐作用。
張璐譯文：Indeed, education has been an important underpinning force that keeps the Chinese nation going for several thousand years.
集眾智、聚眾力，眾人共享。
張璐譯文：When wisdom and strength are pooled, all stand to benefit.
2018年

中國經濟已經深度融入世界經濟，關上門等于擋住了我們自己的路。
張璐譯文：With its economy so integrated into the global economy, closing China’s door will only hinder our own progress.
天下大事必作于細。
張璐譯文：Every single detail counts in the accomplishment of big tasks.
利民之事，絲發必興。
張璐譯文：Nothing is too small for us to do if it delivers concrete benefits to our people.
我們萬難不辭、萬險不避。
張璐譯文：This government will rise up to all challenges and press ahead against all odds.
中國文化歷來主張“己所不欲、勿施于人”，我們希望的是和為貴。
張璐譯文：The Chinese believe that one must not do to others what one does not like to be done to himself. We always value peace.
我希望雙方要保持理性，不要感情用事，避免打貿易戰。
張璐譯文：What we hope is that cool heads and rational actions will prevail instead of emotions or impulses holding sway. A trade war should best be avoided.
這里我也想說一句話，投資者千萬不要聽信那些非法集資者編造的“竹籃子也可以打水”的神話。
張璐譯文：I would also like to advise all investors not to buy into the lies of those illegal fundraisers who’d have you believe a bamboo basket will hold a gallon of water.
2017年

關起門來以鄰為壑，解決不了問題。
張璐譯文：A closed-door policy or beggar-thy-neighbor approach leads to no solutions.
這不是一朝一夕之功。
張璐譯文：This reform cannot be accomplished overnight.
按常理說，誰也不愿意自己的家門口整天鬧個不停。
張璐譯文：It’s common sense that no one wants to see turbulence at his doorstep.
就業是民生之本。
張璐譯文：Employment is the foundation of people’s livelihood.
為政之要就是要舍小利、顧大義、順民心。
張璐譯文：After all, governance is all about letting go of narrow departmental interests for the greater good and always responding to the people’s call.
大自然的陰晴風雨不是人類能支配的，但是我們可以支配我們的行為，可以轉變我們的發展方式。
張璐譯文：We may not be able to control the weather, but we can adjust our behavior and our way of development.
2016年
老有所養不會、也絕不能是一句空話。
張璐譯文：To ensure that the elderly will be provided for, cannot and will not be an empty promise.
中國奉行不結盟政策，我們之間的合作也不針對第三方。
張璐譯文：China follows the principle of nonalignment, and China-Russian cooperation will not be targeted at any third party.
我對兩岸關系和平發展的前景是樂觀的，我們之間的血脈是分不開的。
張璐譯文：I for one feel optimistic about the future of peaceful development of cross-Straits relations. There is a strong tie between the two sides that cannot be severed.
2015年
因地制宜，分城施策。
張璐譯文：Differentiated policies need to be adopted in the light of local conditions.
穿鞋要合腳，施政也要利民惠民。
張璐譯文：Shoes must suit the feet, our administration must meet people's needs and deliver well benefits.
以史為鑒、面向未來。
張璐譯文：One needs to take history as mirror and at the same time look to the future.
2014年
把今天的墊腳石變成明天的絆腳石。
張璐譯文：Let today’s stepping stone become tomorrow’s stumbling block.
相互尊重、管控分歧、互利互惠。
張璐譯文：Respect each other, properly manage differences and pursue mutual benefit.
凡事不患難，但患無備。
張璐譯文：But the thing we have to fear is not the difficulty itself, but lack of preparedness
開弓哪還有回頭箭？
張璐譯文：How can an arrow shot be turned back?
2013年
以民之所望為施政所向。
張璐譯文：We will be loyal to the people and the people's wish will point (to) the direction of government's efforts.
居安思危，處變不驚。
張璐譯文：We must be prepared for the potential adversity and handle the changing situation in a calm fashion.
己正，才能正人。
張璐譯文：Only one is upright him or herself can he or her ask others to be upright.
喊破嗓子不如甩開膀子。
張璐譯文：Talking and talk is not as good as working and work.
2012年
守職而不廢 處義而不回。——出自秦漢黃石公《素書·正道》
張璐譯文：I will not waver and carry out my duties, and will remain true to my conviction.
譯文直譯：恪守本職工作不輕易放棄，受到嫌疑能居義無反顧。
入則懇懇以盡忠，出則謙謙以自悔。——出自元代著名政治家，文學家張養浩《為政忠告》
張璐譯文：Goes officials should serve as loyal as they can conscientiously when they are in office and engage in modest self-reflection when their terms end.
譯文直譯：在其位時，勤勤懇懇，盡職盡忠；不在其位，謙虛謹慎，自我反省。
知我罪我，其惟春秋。——出自《孟子·滕文公下》
張璐譯文：There are people who will appreciate what I have done but there are also people who will criticize me, ultimately, history will have the final say.
譯文直譯：不管世人評說，自己都去做了，任由天下人評說之意。
茍利國家生死以，豈因禍福避趨之。——出自林則徐《赴戍登程口占示家人》
張璐譯文：In line with the conviction that I will do whatever it takes to serve my country even at the cost of my own life, regardless of fortune or misfortune to myself.
譯文直譯：只要對國家有利，即使犧牲自己生命也心甘情愿，絕不會因為自己可能受到禍害而躲開。
2011年
骨肉之親，析而不殊。——出自班固《漢書·武五子傳》
張璐譯文：Brothers, though geographically apart will always be bound by their blood ties.
譯文直譯：骨肉之親，分而不斷。
如將不盡，與古為新。——出自晚唐詩人司空圖《二十四詩品·纖秾》
張璐譯文：It is only with reform that we can ensure continuous existence and growth.
意思是說大自然中蘊藏的美景難以窮盡，詩人只要深入地體察，就能產生不斷創新的詩境。即使古人已經寫過的題材，也能有所創造，達到不斷再創新的意境。后人多引用此句來表明創新的可能性和重要性。溫總理在講話中引用這句詩，正是體現了在新的時代創新的必要性。
2010年
行百里者半九十。——出自西漢·劉向《戰國策·秦策五·謂秦王》
張璐譯文：That is half of the people who have embarked on a one hundred mile journey may fall by the wayside.
譯文直譯：在百里的旅途中，有一半的人會在途中放棄。
這句古文的翻譯，當年引起了很大的爭議。這句古文的原義是“一百里的路程，走到九十里也只能算是才開始一半而已。比喻做事愈接近成功愈困難，愈要認真對待。” 這里，給大家提供另一種版本的譯法，大家可以參考看看“Ninety miles is but half of a hundred miles journey -- the going is toughest towards the end of a journey.”
華山再高，頂有過路。
張璐譯文：No matter how high the mountain is, one can always ascend to its top.
譯文直譯：無論山有多高，我們都能登到頂峰。
寓意是，即使困難再大，也會有迎刃而解的辦法。《西游記·第七十四回》中的名句“山高自有客行路，水深自有渡船人”意思極為接近。溫家寶總理應該是從《西游記》中的這一名句受到啟發，從而錘煉出了新的名句。
兄弟雖有小忿，不廢懿親。——出自《左傳·僖公二十四年》
張璐譯文：Differences between brothers can not sever their bloodties.
譯文直譯：兄弟之間的分歧，是無法割斷他們的血脈親情的。
亦余心之所向兮，雖九死其猶未悔。——出自先秦·屈原《離騷》
張璐譯文：For the ideal that I hold dear to my heart, I will not regret a thousand depth to die.
譯文直譯：我遵從我內心的想法，即使要死千萬次我也不會后悔。
人或加訕，心無疵兮。——出自唐代劉禹錫《子劉子自傳》
張璐譯文：My conscience stays untainted inspite of rumors and slanders from the outside.
譯文直譯：我的良知純潔沒有污點，不管外界的流言飛語和造謠中傷。
